    The GT cometh!!!

Well, what do we have here? KIA setup a website and posted a youtube video of a car running hard on the Nurburgring. From the looks of the wheel/tire, that car has a really low profile setup typical of a sporty setup that we always wished we got in our Optima. Check them out!

Damn, that looks freaking sick. Definitely a change from the Optima and hopefully it has some balls to go with it.

Sounds like the Genesis G70 might be offered in a coupe and sedan. Maybe Hyundai didn't want to let KIA compete with them on the coupe.

Hopefully it will get a base 2.0t with an 8-speed transmission for guys like me. I'd still want to keep the MPGs up if I owned it. I'm sure they will have a beefed up version for the rest of you.

So how big is this guy going to be? They say it's targeted towards the BMW 325 which I think is a tad smaller than the Optima.

That looks good in this photo! Can't wait to see the full car. No market for coupe so they decided not to do the Stinger, people want CUV/SUV and sports cars. It looks like a fairly sizable vehicle, Optima sized or slightly smaller. Those wheels are massive! I'm thinking RWD.

Why would anybody buy a GT engine with high HP and think they are gonna take it out and run it and keep the gas milage up.
It takes fuel to move a vehicle.
And the faster it goes the more fuel it takes to move it.

What will be the killer of the GT is what will the price of it be.

Contrary to popular belief, you can have a vehicle with great performance (high hp) and still have decent economy when you are not out running it hard. The majority of folks are not taking their cars to tracks and running it hard, for some it will be their daily driver and that fun car for those moments when they want it to be. They price will be competitive with the cars it competes with, KIA knows it has some folks yet to recognize they are not the brand of old but there are others who will purchase one if it meets their needs.
