Optima SX Power issues?

I ordered a sx a couple months ago and the dealership gave me a demo sx to drive until mine came in. The demo was very quick, every time i would take off and the rpm's hit around 3k the tires would start spinning. I finally received my sx and it doesn't have near the takeoff and the tires dont spin like on the demo sx. "I really don't like spinning a front wheel drive," but my concern is the power differences. I thought it may be due to breaking in yet I now have 3200 miles and still the same power. Anybody have any ideas?

Take it back in and have the dealer check it out. There are several TSB's that may need to be addressed for your vehicle. It's time for your first oil change, if you haven't done so, and this would be a good opportunity to bring this up.

Thanks I will do that. I just had my oil changed using AMS OIL 5w30. Also, I have a lot of problems with service at Hometown Kia in Beckley WV. they're always saying there's nothing wrong with my car. I've been having rattling during start-up and even while driving including the issue we're talking about with possible power issues. Personally I think they have a big difference in boost from car to car.

That brings up a good question. What exactly does ECON mode do? The car sure drives different. I can tell that the shift points are changed and that it downshifts when coming to a stop.

If you check the owners manual, it tells you it changes shift points, reduces torque and power, in order to improve mileage. Too bad we don't have a way to over boost as well!

No the ECO is off. But even in the demo SX would spin through the ECO. ??? I'm loosing power everyday. : (

Did you have the wastegate TSB performed? Your turbo seems to be shot.
