I have elected to have the dealer do all of the services just to make certain there is no question about following scheduled maintenance. Love the car and dealer is OK, they sell a three oil change package for $70.
You should be good. It was several model years before yours. They are fixing the engines (replacing them) for free for those that are affected.

After going through this thread, crossing my fingers my motor stays healthy for some time. My Optima (2013 SX with 31k on the clock) hasn't arrived yet, but I did get an extended warranty to 125k. It had only one owner to this point, and no mechanical issues that I saw in its history.

Kia extended the motor to 120,000 if the connecting rods makes a loud noise. I have called my local Kia Dealer and it seems they are playing dumb stating they have no clue on the recalls.
