Came across this little gem recently as well, Volvo Turbo PowerPulse:

Concept should work on any turbo engine.

Volvo has been working with turbo charged engines for years and have continued to make improvements. I like driving their Drive E engines, that base 2.0T has a boost function to bump the torque about 20 lb ft when needed. Then there is the super-turbo charged 2.0T with 300hp/295 lb ft that gets 33 mpg (was 35 but they down graded it for 2016), granted they use an 8 speed auto, which I wish we had for the our turbos, well for all of the Optimas. I'm sure something is in the works for our cars but the focus seems to be on the Luxury side now, guess we will get the tech after they do.
