E15 Gas Can Ruin Auto Engines?

Interesting read. This could account for some of the fuel gauge oddities, CEL's, and cold start problems some people have reported with our cars:

Study: New E15 gas can ruin auto engines | WashingtonExaminer.com

This week's warm Washington temperatures had some thinking about rolling the Lawn-Boy out of the garage for the first cut of the year. And we all know what that means: Difficult starts due to E10 gas that gels when it sits.

Now, according to a new study, cars and truck may face the same fate thanks to President Obama's demand for a higher ethanol in the new E15 gas.
The fuel industry's American Petroleum Institute tested the 15 percent ethanol gas approved in 2010 and found it gums up fuel systems, prompts "check engine" lights to come on, and messes with fuel gauge readings.

Ok so here's the question: Is 15% clearly marked separate from the 10%, and do you have a choice? Who has 15% in their gas because I damnn sure will stay away from them!

Just did some research on this, and while I can't find a list of gas stations that sell it, it has to be clearly marked. Not a case of a little note on the side that says "May contain up to 15% ethanol." No instead it is a dedicated button on the pump thank god! The AAA discourages the use of E15 much as most manufacturers discourage it. DO NOT RUN IT IN YOUR CAR lol. The only problem I see is that at "mixer" pumps (where many grades come out of one nozzle) you may have up to 1/3 gallon of E15 left in the hose if the "idiot" in front of you got E15.

BTW just go to www.pure-gas.org to find an ethanol free pump near you. (Canada too)

Government lawyers and environmental nut jobs at work, saving the environment with ''alternative'' fuels. I wish they would mind their own business, the limousine riding hypocrites.
