Paint Cracking? Paint Issues?

Hello,

I was cleaning my car today and wiping it down and came to this spot of my bumper / hood meet up.

and honestly i am not a paint expert, I do have some knowledge but it looks like the paint is cracking and peeling in this part.

Kind of not happy honestly,

I have a zoomed up part so you guys can see. I know it's tucked away but what if it starts peeling back?

How long have you had the car?

I bought it in end of June, so about 5 months?

wow looks like its almost touching ? where at exactly ? front end on the hood or towards the windsheild ?

That's not normal...ask the dealer to check it out.

Yea that's not normal at all if I'm not mistaken the paint is covered for 30k miles. So you can definitely get that checked out... I would.

right side , by the head light area where the bottom of the hood area meet i guess.

I spoke to the service manager awesome guy told me to bring it in and they will open a case, i sent him the pictures via email.


- Is it bad that i really don't want it repainted by a third party?
Because the risk of not matching. and also i have heard horror stories of repainted items losing colour, flaking etc etc.


Edit: I also notice the left side has less gap at the front and more towards the back going towards the wheels, where the right side looks very tight.

Some people might think this isn't a big issue and maybe it is not.. I am just afraid it might peel back and back over time.

I would agree.. Nip it now... Have the dealer recommend a shop, or better yet, leave it with them to have it fixed and put the owness on them.. Let us know how it turns out. Time to do a quick inspection on mine
