Just checked mine, the fit is VERY tight...will keep an eye on it.
I've been washing my car weekly but today i decided to do a wipe down and to a nice clean , and noticed it.
Disappointed i guess, nothing major right?
I wish kia had these painted in a Factory dam it and shipped out lol of switched off another Optima lol
I am iffy with 3rd party paint.
it seems the fit is tighter towards the lights and more space towards the wheel wells
Have you had your bumper cover off for any reason? In the seam between the bumper cover and fender there are several slots cut in the bumper cover flange that match up with "hooks". Looks to me like the paint around one of these slots is cracking.
Robbtemp,
Negative, bumper has never been removed.
I am not sure what it is, but it is cracking and if you actually zoom in on the pic it seems to be forming a inline crack beside it as well.
I am afraid to repaint it
Don't be afraid. A reputable shop can color match it perfectly and I agree to nip it in the bud now
Plus...it's a BUMPER...something will happen to it anyway sooner or later![]()

Hmmm. I'm thinking that the vehicle may have been involved in a collision or some other mishap prior to delivery to the OP. Bumper has been removed, repainted and re-attached. That could explain the uneven gap and the peeling paint.
