New SX optima owner here from Socal!

Whats up Optimaforums?! I am a proud new owner of a new ebony black 2012 kia optima sx turbo. I currently own a caliber srt4 and use to own a neon srt4, ls2 vette, ls1 camaro, toyota supra....bla bla bla.

I love turbo cars and felt that the new optima was a great blend of luxury, power and amenities for my wife as a daily driver. The sticker was just a few hundred over 30k, but with presidents day weekend I got $2500 off the sticker and couldnt have been happier.

the dual moon roof and sound system (infinity system) are some of my favorite accessories on my car.

This is my first car with paddle shifters and is definitely appreciated, being that I only like to drive manuals and it gives me a "manual" type of ability when driving it.

To me there is nothing like the sound of a turbo spooling, so I will definitely be buying an intake soon.

My caliber has around 350whp currently, so I dont want or need to go too crazy with the kia. I need to read some more, but how much can the 6spd tranny hold?
How much power has someone gotten out of these?

Funny thing, is this the motor that is the same GEMA engine from which my caliber's motor is also based.

Who'd of known?

I just got one this weekend also...now I'm searching for an illustrated oil change procedure with no luck. New car means new process to me, like where are the parts, any neat tricks, etc.

Hey Iceman, welcome and congrats on your purchase. I just bought the same car today in titanium gray and feel the same way about the car that you do. I think Kia has a real winner here.
