    Hybrid gas tank size

So the official word is that the Hybrid has a 17.2 gallon gas tank, but I see people saying they are filling it up with like 20 gallons or more. What gives? Pretty confused.

Hey Jasper, this goes back to when the car did the Guinness record run and the folks driving it was able to drive it almost empty and then filled it to the neck with 22 gallons. The pump typically clicks off at 15 gallon if you drive it to the last pip but you can continue to pump (slowly, I might add) until it gets up to the neck, then you know it's entirely full. Then you can go on a quest t see how many miles you can get out of a tank. It's well know you can drive beyond the last pip for at least 20 more miles (depending on your speed) before getting the warning message.

I have tried it on a few occasions but the most I got in was 21, I once say the big yellow tank in the center display with the message to fuel now. There are a few us of that have attempted to get 800 miles to a tank and a couple that were actually successful in that endeavor. I decided to give it a try with this las fill up while running my new ECO tires, the Pirelli P7 All Season Plus. Right now I am at a little over 500 miles traveled with a bit over 300 till empty and it is at 1/2 tank. Who knows, maybe one day you will give it a try too.
