    • Chamfered edges maximize tread-to-road contact as the tire rolls for improved dry traction.
    • Wide shoulder blocks provide stability and control during cornering.

    Mileage
    • Computer-optimized contact patch evenly distributes pressure for longer wear.
    • Stiff tread blocks resist wear allowing the Continental ControlContact Sport AS to offer a 50,000 mile warranty.

We do not have any first hand experience with this tire model and the 1/4 mile. Typically drag radials or max performance tires are best suited for this type of driving.

You shouldn't mislead your customer base. DT still carries and sells the ExtremeContact DWS, this tire is just a tire that DT had designed specially for themselves so they could control the price point being the only carriers of this tire as well as the only location that distributes so you force the customer to return for a similar replacement tire.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, AmericanSpySX. We do our best to share content in a clear and concise manor so we apologize if the OP comes off as misleading. No one likes to be mislead so let me help clear up any confusion.

We worked specifically with Continental to bring a tire to market that has improved winter capabilities while maintaining similar handling characteristics as the DWS. The result, Continental ControlContact Sport A/S. The ControlContact Sport A/S is what we choose to carry in place of the DWS. We can, however, still order the DWS from Continental, stock permitting. ControlContact Sport A/S is an exclusive model of ours which allows us to sell a quality tire at a value price. As far as warranty or replacement concerns, we stand behind every product we sell, no matter what you choose to buy and if you ever have a problem or aren't satisfied with your tires we'll do what it takes to make it right.

I hope this helps clear things up

On a side note for those who may not know, the DWS is being replaced by the DWS06. This model can be purchased through our brick and mortar locations and through our mail order division, Discount Tire Direct.

My 2015 Kia Optima LX came with 205 65R 16 Tires

Why do these tires not come in a 65 Series.

    Thanks.

COMPARED: CONTINENTAL CONTROLCONTACT SPORT A/S VS. TOUR A/S | Automoblog.net

When it comes to shopping for tires, a lot of variables determine which tire is the right tire for your vehicle. The first is the vehicle that you drive. Others include how many miles you drive per day, the road conditions you normally see, the region where you live, whether you drive a lot on the highway or the city streets, and the vehicle’s suspension and chassis setup, among others.

Deciding on which set of tires are the right ones for your vehicle can be very challenging and time consuming... READ MORE

I just ordered a set of DWS 06's. I chose them over the Michelin Primacys. Hopefully I made the right choice.
