We worked specifically with Continental to bring a tire to market that has improved winter capabilities while maintaining similar handling characteristics as the DWS. The result, Continental ControlContact Sport A/S. The ControlContact Sport A/S is what we choose to carry in place of the DWS. We can, however, still order the DWS from Continental, stock permitting. ControlContact Sport A/S is an exclusive model of ours which allows us to sell a quality tire at a value price. As far as warranty or replacement concerns, we stand behind every product we sell, no matter what you choose to buy and if you ever have a problem or aren't satisfied with your tires we'll do what it takes to make it right.

I hope this helps clear things up

On a side note for those who may not know, the DWS is being replaced by the DWS06. This model can be purchased through our brick and mortar locations and through our mail order division, Discount Tire Direct.
    Good answer.

Give us a call if we can be of assistance.
Well I ran over something and my Tire was going down. Went to Discount Tire.
    Had to drive 50 miles.
They made me a offer on my tires.

The only Continental Tire they had was the
Continental Control Contact Tour AS. A 90,000 mile tire.
    It was in a 225/60R/16

    My tires was a 205/65R/16

I said what is top end on this tire.
They said don't run over 117mph for an hour.
I said the Speed limit here was 75mph and people run 90 mph and faster.
I asked to they make a tire for higher speeds. They said yes. Its a Sport tire and not a touring tire.
But they would have to order them. And they are softer rubber and will not last as long.
I took the tires they had.
They don't hit the holes in the road as hard even though they are a 60 series tire instead of a 65 tire.
They said the sidewalls are stronger.
They seem to be much stronger in the curves.
When you go down the road. You can barely move the steering wheel.
Seemed to knock a lot of the road noise out of the car.
Got to have more time to ride them around.
Can't tell that they make the car sit any higher. Think they are about 1/2 " wider and a little taller, Maybe 1/4 of an inch.

This is my 1st set of Continental tires I ever remember running.

They gave me a very good price on these tires.
Think it was 117.00 a tire plus Certificates and tax.
That is not bad at all.

Want to Thank Discount Tire for coming on this forum and being a Vendor. I appreciate what I have learned from them.
Cause I would of never bought these tires if it wasn't for them.

Both tires are solid options, but the right model for you will depend on what you're looking for out of your tires. We'd be happy to help you decide, PM coming your way.
