    Nav. screen glitch?

I've noticed that at least during the day that when it's cloudy or near dusk when my headlights go on, my nav.screen (set to automatic dimming) doesn't dim. It's my impression that when the headlights go on, the nav. screeen should automatically dim. Is my auto dim fuction malfunctioning? Anyone with nav. experience this?

(Sorry if this has been discussed before; my search for this returned nothing.)

I may be wrong, but just because your headlights turn on, doesn't automatically make the GPS screen dim.

This is normal behavior and I believe there are separate light sensor, which is why we're seeing this. It's not a problem.

This is correct I believe, there is a long overpass I go under on the way to work and my nav switches to night mode but the headlight don't come on. There is a separate ambient light sensor.
