    Connecting Iphone

In the brochure for the optima one of the pictures shows an Iphone plugged in. I am picking up my optima monday but I was wondering if the cable in the photo comes with the car or if its and aftermarket cable.....

Before you "pick it up"...get them to throw in the cable for FREE...that's what I did. You really think there gonna let you walk over a $40 MSRP iPhone cable? I don't think so.

From what I've read it reads your streaming music and charges the phone at the same time. Running Bluetooth during an 8 hour drive I imagine you battery would die. Just eliminates an extra cable laying around

The cable is excellent for charging your iPhone. My cable was provided free, since I spent quite a bit on the car itself

It will stream through your regular iPhone/iPod cable the aux only improves the quality of music nothing more. There is no incentive to a $40 cable just something else you can spend your money on.

Disagree. The cable not only charges the phone but shows the song, playlist etc., on the screen if you have nav. system. My dealer threw it in with my purchase. It doesn't hurt to ask if they don't include it.
