I must be missing something. Is this like a video game easter egg? Or does this actually do something? Is it updating maps or features or what? What is it recalibrating?

So the screen understands where the spot is that you are touching. When it's off, then maybe you click a spot on the screen and it thinks that you hit a different spot.

This, it re-calibrates the "touchscreen" just as u would on a Tablet using a stylus if the location the stylus is touching the screen is off... Another member had a issue where when touching the screen, where he touched isnt what "clicked or opened" this fixed his issue instead of having to get a whole new NAV like the dealer suggested he would have to do...

If your nav works fine you would not do it... That's why it is a How To on "Recalibration" of the NAV Screen... IE if the "calibration" of where u touch is not "accurate"...

It has been said Dealers say u must replace the whole NAV unit when it is out of "Calibration" when "touching" the screen. This is where this HOW TO can help to determine if a "Recalibration" is all that is needed instead of replacing the whole NAV Unit....

Below is a definition of "recalibrate" for the unfamiliar...
