Question about aftermarket head unit for 2016 Optima LX

    Hello all,

So my 2016 LX did not come with Navigation (of course) and I've been looking for a replacement that has it but I want to keep it as close to stock looking as possible.

I currently have the 6" touch screen with Steering-wheel controls, Bluetooth, Voice Commands, Backup Camera, and Sirius. I found this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...k_ql_qh_dp_hza on Amazon and was wondering what you guys think about it.

I could not tell you anything about that unit TBH with you.

However in case you didn't know, the UNAVI system we carry is also compatible with the 2016 Optima.

K5 Optima Store - UNAVI X5 (OEM Integrated Navigation)

The advantage of going with the UNAVI system is you don't lose any of your factory controls like Bluetooth, steering wheel controls, or Sirius satellite radio.

Well damn, I've been though the 2016 section on your site and did not see it listed there so I did not think it would fit do to the redesign Kia did on the 2016's. I would much rather go with a stock unit than an aftermarket. I had a VW CC that I paid $1800.00 for the head unit with Navigation just to keep the stock look. So what else would I need to install the one you guys sell? Here is a picture of my current one.

    And Thanks!!!

I apologize, you are absolutely right. Just fixed that and added it to the 2016 product collection on our site.

Unfortunately with the Kia Optima, it is nearly impossible to convert a non NAV unit to a stock OEM NAV unit without a ton of modifications.

In regards to the unit we sell, there is absolutely NOTHING else needed for you to install it on your vehicle.

The unit will actually be going on sale this Labor Day weekend along with many other items, so if you were interested, that would be the time to order.

Awesome, that one looks close to stock, and I actually like the look better. What's the difference between UVO and Non UVO as I see the option on your site. Which one would I want/need?

Edit: I just watch the video you have on YouTube about it and I have found my new Head Unit! Now I just have to take the wife to the mall to pick out a new purse to butter her up a little...lol
