    Interior dome light cover

I can't seem to find any thread regarding removing the dome and map light covers. I just received my LEDs but do not want to damage the covers. Does it snap off? If it does, from the clear cover or the plastic molding? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to be a heckler but is it just me or do none of these look like our lights?

Do the interior lights differ by trim?

I think it's meant as a general idea of how to pry off the lights some (like the maps) only need tohave the lens taken off but the vanity's you take out the whole assebmbly. For the rears i just did the lenses. I like how it does show the different housings for the lights. On the sunroof models the room lamps take a festoon type bulb same for the glove compartment. I swapped out the reg bulbs for LED's and like the color white. Did the trunk and glovebox with same white LED's what a difference. Now if I can just figure out which bulb is for the vanities i'm all set. but i'm really itching to get this set up.......LED Rear Bumper Reflector Light Lamp Set for 11+ Optima | eBay I just don't know about pulling off the bumper but boy would that enhance the rear end look if I can get it done.
2013 EX Remington Red with Premium and Tech Interior L.E.D.S. 6000K H.I.D.'s front hi/lo Cree fog lamps LED bumper and tails. Rear license plate L.E.D's Cree back up LED's.

Does anyone know how the dome light covers come off for the SX with sun roof? Front and rear? Everything I read is that they just "pop" off but I tried to get them off using a small jewelers screwdriver and all that is happening is the grey plastic around the lens is distorting and the lens isn't coming off. So I quit before I F*ck everything up just trying to get the lens off.

    Ok found the info:

On your interior lights, map and dome, on the opposite end of that you push to turn the lights on (the end that doesn't move) insert a business card between the between the light lens and the frame, next to the business card insert a very thin flat bladed screwdriver and pry the lens down and away from the frame. it' will pop loose.. do it on both sides and the lens will fall out.

    Thanks go to: 2012SXDave

Are you using the screwdriver on the tabs that are shown above?? If not, the plastic will flex.

Captian Obvious here. Read your manual, it tells you where to pry.
